New Ambassadors Pledge Stronger Ties as They Present Credentials to President Bio

Sierra Leone reaffirmed its growing diplomatic presence on the global stage as six newly appointed ambassadors officially presented their letters of credence to His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio at a grand ceremony held at State House.

The distinguished diplomats, representing key global partners, included:
• H.E. Mr. Yusuf Burak Rende – Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye
• H.E. Dr. Senator Kwabla Yawlui – High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana
• H.E. Mr. Baisnab Charan Pradhan – Ambassador of the Republic of India
• H.E. Vice Admiral (Rtd.) Pankyu Kim – Ambassador of the Republic of Korea
• H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Yoshimoto – Ambassador of the Republic of Japan
• H.E. Mr. Luc Briard – Ambassador of the Republic of France

Welcoming the envoys with open arms, President Bio emphasized Sierra Leone’s unwavering commitment to global cooperation, economic partnerships, and diplomatic engagements that drive sustainable development and prosperity.

“Sierra Leone is a nation that values friendship, collaboration, and shared progress,” he stated. “As we navigate the challenges and opportunities of our time, we stand ready to work closely with your nations to deepen our ties, attract investment, and promote peace and stability.”

The ambassadors, in turn, expressed admiration for Sierra Leone’s leadership and development trajectory, pledging to work tirelessly to enhance bilateral relations. They underscored their commitment to fostering stronger ties in trade, education, infrastructure, and technological advancements, which will benefit both Sierra Leone and their respective nations.
